St. Louis – St. Louis Post-Dispatch editor Ellen Soeteber resigned Friday. Managing editor Arnie Robbins has been named as her replacement.
Soeteber came to the Post-Dispatch in January of 2001. She offered no specific reason for her resignation, saying, "It's just time to go."
Soeteber was the sixth editor of the Post-Dispatch in its 127-year history. Publisher Terry Egger says she was dedicated to serving the needs of readers and looking to the future.
He credited her with spearheading investigative projects, new sections and a new redesign.
Soeteber's last day with the Post-Dispatch will be November 30th.
