Some Katrnia surivors choose to make new home in STL

By Matt Sepic, KWMU

St. Louis – It's been a month since Hurricane Katrina scattered Gulf Coast residents around the country.

St. Louis was not a prime evacuee site, but the Red Cross says about 2,500 people came here anyway, usually on their own.

Some plan to stay only until things improve back home. Others hope to make a new home here.

KWMU's Matt Sepic visited with several people who all have different plans.
