St. Louis, MO. – Voters in the 24th ward will decide Tuesday whether to recall Alderman Tom Bauer.
Those who called for his ouster claim Bauer does not solicit public input on often unpopular development projects.
But Bauer says he's brought a lot of positives to his ward, including a spate of new housing and refurbished alleys:
"We've done 154 alleys in '04 and '05. So I'm the leader in producing for the
people, and I think that that message is out and I'm going to be safe on Tuesday, Bauer said.
Bauer would be eligible to seek his old seat if he were to be voted out.
He stops short of saying he would run, instead saying that if he's recalled, he will start "a new planning process."
You can hear more about the effort to recall Alderman Tom Bauer Monday morning at 5:35 and 7:35.
