St. Louis, MO –

It's still not know when, or if, an expected group of evacuees will arrive in St. Louis. Leaders in St. Louis said that week that they had been told by federal officials to expect 500 of them today (Monday).

Those evacuees will be temporarily housed at a converted hanger at Lambert Airport.

Still, the Red Cross says a few thousand evacuees have already made it to Missouri, mostly to stay with family or friends.

KWMU's Tom Weber met with two evacuees who got here last week, but who would much rather be in New Orleans.
