Lambert and taxis reach agreement

By Bill Raack, KWMU

St. Louis, MO. – Lambert Airport officials say they have reached an agreement with taxicab companies at the airport to improve service.

The eight cab companies that serve Lambert have agreed to use newer and better-maintained vehicles, improve response time for passengers arriving at the airport and make themselves available for short trips.

The agreement is in response to complaints from customers, as well as Mayor Francis Slay, about the condition and convenience of the airport taxis.

Lambert director Kevin Dolliole says cab companies that do not adhere to the new rules will not be allowed to pick up passengers at the airport.
