The Base Realignment and Closure Commission will take public comment in St. Louis on Monday on the Pentagon's recommendations for military installations around the Midwest.
Among the units BRAC may move is the 131st Fighter Wing at Lambert Airport.
The Missouri Air National Guard unit has been in St. Louis since 1923. Charles Lindbergh flew with the squadron and was a member when he made his famous trans-Atlantic flight.
Today, the fighter wing flies F-15 C Eagles and boasts some of the best pilots in the country.
KWMUs Maria Hickey recently spent some time on the air base.
