Laclede Gas rates inch up today

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO – Natural gas bills for Laclede Gas customers will go up today (Tuesday), but only slightly.

Residential rates will rise about a penny per 100 cubic feet of gas, which translates for a typical customer to an increase of less than $2 through October.

The Public Service Commission, which approved the hike, blames higher natural gas costs in the summer for the increase.

Laclede has about 631,000 natural gas customers in eastern Missouri.
