St. Louis, MO – St. Louis police officer Matt Browning will throw out the first pitch at the Cardinals-Pirates game tonight (Monday).

Both of Browning's legs were severed after he was pinned between two cars in an accident last fall.

A suspected drunk driver - coming from a Cardinals playoff game - crashed his pickup truck into a parked police car. The impact knocked the car into Browning, 26, and pinned him against a police van.

Doctors fitted him with prosthetics in January.

A November trial is set John Mittelbuscher, the suburban St. Louis man charged with two counts of felony assault on a law enforcement officer while driving intoxicated.
