St. Louis, MO – St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay is at a trade show in Las Vegas this week, trying to attract more retail to the City.
City officials have gone to the trade show for the International Council of Shopping Centers before, but this will be the mayor's first trip.
Slay says he'll tell developers and retailers that the city's in the midst of a resurgence and that they won't face much red tape if they open in St. Louis.
He's in Las Vegas with two officials from the St. Louis Development Corporation. They plan to meet with representatives from Target, Best Buy, Circuit City and Bass Pro Shop, among other companies, to try and lure them to St. Louis.
