Jefferson City, MO – Missouri Governor Matt Blunt is expected to sign into law legislation that would make it illegal to harass or injure a service dog.
The measure would also allow people who use service dogs to recover money to treat or replace an animal dog that's been injured.
And it makes it illegal for anyone to pretend theirs is a service dog, or to impersonate a disabled person as a way to get certain accomodations.
The measure passed the Senate 33-0 and the House 147-4 this session.
