St. Louis, MO – Missouri Congressman Todd Akin said Thursday he's heading back to Iraq with some of his colleagues.
It will be the first trip by a group of U.S. congressmen since Iraq's new government and cabinet were sworn in last week.
The St. Louis County Republican first went to Iraq almost two years ago. His son, Perry, is also serving in the Marines in Iraq.
Akin's office is not saying exactly when the congressman will go, citing security reasons. A statement only says Akin will go "over the next several days."
