Jefferson City, MO – Lobbyists helped pay for nine Republicans in the Missouri House to vacation last week in Arkansas.
Some lawmakers paid their way, but the House Communications office wouldn't say who or what the total cost was.
House Speaker Rod Jetton said he and his wife decided to go to Hot Springs, Arkansas during the Legislature's week off.
He says the trip was all relaxation and no government business, and that lobbyists' covering some costs was "not a big deal."
