Springfield, Ill. – 
When a southern Illinois trucking company threatened to move to Missouri because of increased fees and taxes, the state of Illinois stepped in with financial help.
But the move to save jobs has upset some competing truck firms, who question the piecemeal approach to addressing the problems in the industry.
