St. Louis – One of professional bowling's biggest stars has died. Dick Weber passed away at his home in St. Louis Sunday at the age of 75.
Dick Weber was a fixture on the Professional Bowler's Association tour.
He was a founding member of the PBA in 1958 and went on to win 26 tournaments and six senior titles.
PBA president Steve Miller says Weber was a great ambassador for the sport.
"In today's day and age, when people read so many negative things about sports and about athletes in particular, Dick was one of those shining lights that did it the right way," Miller said. "He won with class and dignity."
Weber has a star on the St. Louis Walk of Fame in the Delmar Loop. His son Pete Weber is also a PBA Hall of Fame member.
