St. Louis, MO. – St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke's life was threatened Tuesday in a phone call.
Archdiocese spokesman Jamie Allman says St. Louis police have taken a suspect into custody.
Allman says the threat was left on voice mail.
"It was serious, it was severe, it was detailed, it was enough to prompt a call to police," Allman said. "They traced the number, apprehended the individual and the archbishop continues to pray for the suspect."
The man was allegedly upset by the Archbishop's dispute with St. Stanislaus, a Polish parish that has resisted the Archdiocese's efforts to gain control of the church's assets and governance.
