Lincoln, Neb. – Nebraska is sending 4,000 doses of flu vaccine to Missouri.

Officials in Nebraska say demand for the vaccines has come almost to a complete stop and the need appears greater in Missouri. They say also that they have no signs there will be any major flu outbreak in Nebraska this winter.

Federal and state health officials say that vaccine held in the public sector should be sent to areas that haven't met the demand from high-priority groups - such as the elderly, chronically ill or very young.
