St. Louis – Those in the St. Louis area needing flu vaccinations will have just two opportunities to get them.

The Visiting Nurse Association is sponsoring clinics this week and next.

The VNA's Diane Echeverria says medical personnel will be give more than 11-hundred shots Tuesday morning.

"The CDC and Aventis are going to be distributing vaccines to the most high risk areas throughout the United States," Echeverria said. "I anticipate that Missouri will be getting some additional vaccine when and where and who it's going to be we're uncertain at this time."

Tuesday's clinic begins at 8:30 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Rock Church at 1118 North Grand in St. Louis.

Only those over 65, pregnant women with a doctors order and anyone over nine with a serious illness is eligible.

The second clinic will be Friday, Oct. 29 at the Ferguson-Florissant Administration Building at 1005 Waterford in Florissant.
