St. Louis, MO – About 1,300 machinists who are on strike against area car dealership will vote on a new contract today (Thursday).
Their 2.5 month strike has all but halted work at service departments at 60 car dealerships in Missouri and one in Illinois.
If machinists approve today's offer, the dealers will then decide whether to accept it.
The dealers said this week they'll hire permanent replacements if the strike doesn't end in two weeks.
