St. Louis, MO – Metro has fired the four companies that were in charge of extending Metrolink from Forest Park to South County.
Metro President Larry Salci said in a statement this morning that the project was in risk of being over-budget and late if Metro stuck with the four companies.
But Salci also says he thinks the extension can open in 20-06, as planned.
Contractors have previously said Metro didn't give them all the necessary information and support to perform their work.
Officials are expected to discuss the next step at a news conference this morning (Wed.).
