Kansas City, MO – U.S. Senate candidate Nancy Farmer rolled out the first policy proposal of her campaign Thursday.
She made her pitch in Kansas City before members of several veterans' groups.
The Democrat's plan calls for pushing for economic relief and health care coverage for National Guard members and reservists called to active duty.
It would also seek to suspend interest on student loans when a Guardsman or Reservist is called up.
Farmer also criticized incumbent Republican Kit Bond for voting against a proposal that would have offered Guard Members and Reservists health coverage from the moment they receive their activation orders.
