Jefferson City, Mo. – Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon claims a St. Louis travel agent sold a high school reunion committee trips to Cancun, Mexico, but never followed through.
A judge has granted Nixon a temporary restraining order that keeps Tina Flenoy from operating as a travel agent.
Nixon wants to bar Flenoy from the business permanently and make her pay full restitution and penalties.
A 1974 class reunion committee for Soldan High School signed an agreement in January with Flenoy. Classmates were advised to send her a $300 deposit, and some paid in full.
Nixon says committee members discovered in April that the agent hadn't made travel reservations.
She's given refunds to ten people. But Nixon says she still owes almost $23,000 dollars.
