St. Louis – Three-time gold-medalist and East St. Louis native Jackie Joyner-Kersee will headline a celebration at the end of the Olympic Torch Relay in St. Louis later this month.

The run will start at the Arch on June 17th and wind its way along a 34-mile route to Art Hill in Forest Park.

Joyner-Kersee will be the final torchbearer. She said its an honor to return home for the event.

"We won't have another 2004," Joyner-Kersee said. "So to be able to celebrate this moment with the rich history of what has happened in St. Louis, with the Olympic movement, I would take advantage of it."

The post-relay celebration will include other area Olympic athletes, music by members of the St. Louis Symphony and a fireworks show.
