St. Louis – An Ohio company that makes airplane parts has settled a lawsuit filed by Chris Sifford's father.
Sifford was an aide to Governor Mel Carnahan, who died in the same crash that killed the governor in 2000.
Dale Sifford will get $905,000.
His suit in Kansas City alleged that two vacuum pumps made by Parker Hannifin of Cleveland failed during the flight.
The pumps' failure caused a power cut to instruments needed to fly through the rainy, windy weather that night.
