St. Louis – Severe storms caused power outages and flooding in parts of the St. Louis area Tuesday afternoon.
High water caused major delays at the intersection of Interstates 44 and 55 south of downtown, and caused problems in the Shaw neighborhood and Soulard.
Ameren U-E says more customers are without power.
As of Tuesday morning, workers had restored power to all but 10 percent of the 33,000 households Monday's storm had knocked out.
But Ameren spokesman Tim Fox said Tuesday's weather brought the number of total outages to more than 10,000.
