St. Louis – Boeing has given its final contract offer to a union representing its St. Louis-based machinists and aerospace workers.
The three-year offer sets up a ratification vote Sunday by roughly 2,800 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, District 837.
The current three-year contract expires Sunday night.
The new offer calls for three percent wage increases in the first and third years, along with a $3,000 signing bonus in the first year and $2,000 lump sum in the second.
St. Louis is headquarters of Boeing's defense business, which makes fighter jets, missiles, smart bombs and other weapons.
The union also represents some workers at Boeing sites in Maryland and California.
