Jefferson City, Mo. – The Missouri House and Senate on Thursday passed a proposed ban on state highway billboards that advertise strip-clubs and other adult shops.
It would prohibit most billboards for adult cabarets and sexually oriented businesses within one mile of a state highway.
It would allow just two signs, with only basic information, for businesses that are close to a highway.
The legislation now heads to Governor Holden's desk.
