East St. Louis, Ill. – St. Louis Blues forward Mike Danton faces arraignment Tuesday on charges that he conspired to hire a hit man to kill an acquaintance.

Danton's hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the federal courthouse in East St. Louis.

Danton arrived back in the St. Louis area Monday. He is being held in the Clinton County, Illinois, Jail.

Danton was arrested in San Jose, California, April 16th, shortly after the Blues' season ended with a loss to the San Jose Sharks in the NHL playoffs.

He had been jailed in California awaiting extradition.

The alleged accomplice, 19-year-old Katie Wolfmeyer of Florissant, pleaded innocent last week. Her trial is scheduled to begin July 13th.

Danton's attorney has said he will also plead innocent.
