Jefferson City, MO – Missouri regulators have approved a plan to freeze Missouri-American Water Company rates through 2005. The agreement affects 410,000 customers in Missouri.
A surcharge of about $0.75 that was only on customers in St. Louis County also will be eliminated April 16th.
The action Tuesday ended a disagreement between the state and Missouri-American. The company wanted to increase revenue by $20 million. The state sought a $20 million decrease.
