St. Louis – St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley says he wants to hold onto his job.
Dooley said Thursday he's running to fill the remaining two years of his predecessor's term.
County executive Buzz Westfall died of a staph infection in October after serving more than a decade at the post.
The County Council selected Dooley to fill the post temporarily.
Dooley is the second Democrat to join the race. Four Republicans and a Libertarian have already filed papers.
