St. Louis – Illinoisans go to the polls Tuesday to pick nominees for President and U.S. Senate. Voters in the Metro-East also have a handful of local issues to decide.

Schools dominate most of the ballot questions in St. Clair and Madison Counties Tuesday. Voters might shut down Venice High School and dissolve the Livingston School District.

The state of Illinois is currently overseeing finances in both of those districts.

There are also tax increase questions in four school districts in St. Clair and Madison County.

All St. Clair County voters will decide whether monthly phone bills should go up $1.85 to improve 911 service.

Current St. Clair County Chair John Barisevic is giving up the seat to run unopposed for judge.

And longtime incumbent Congressman Jerry Costello and State Representative Wyvetter Younge both have party opposition tomorrow.

Other ballot questions include:

- Swansea, Ill. Voters will decide whether to raise property taxes to build a $3 million fire house.

- Stookey Township, St. Clair County. Voters will decide whether to raise taxes $5 million to pay for parks.

- Sugar Hill Fire District, St. Clair County. Voters will be asked to raise property taxes $1.45 million for fire department upgrades.
