Great Plains Owes St. Clair County $763,000

By AP/KWMU

Tulsa, Okla. – Bankrupt Great Plains Airlines now says its assets are $20 million less than it revealed just over a month ago.

The Tulsa-based carrier had been flying out of MidAmerica Airport east of St. Louis until it filed for bankruptcy in January. It also served other airports, including Chicago Midway and Washington Dulles International Airport.

The carrier provided a more detailed account of its finances Monday to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Oklahoma.

The airline says it owes more than $763,000 to the Public Buildings Commission of St. Clair County.

The county lent Great Plains more than $1.35 million in August to lease three propjets and provide service.
