St. Louis – An entire section of Lambert Airport in St. Louis will be taken out of service for the immediate future, several months after American Airlines made major flight cuts at the airport.
Starting Saturday, (Feb. 21) American will move all of its arrivals and departures from the D concourse to other gates in the main terminal.
Airport spokesman Mike Donatt says the move will mean less walking for passengers.
Donatt says the concourse will not be closed entirely. A Pasta House restaurant will remain open there.
Lambert is in the midst of a $1.01 billion runway expansion project.
