St. Louis – The race for President did not draw voters to the polls Tuesday, but in the in the St. Louis region, other issues on the ballot did.
Only 15 percent of all registered Missouri voters went to the polls yesterday. That's well below the predicted 23-percent.
In St. Louis City and County, there was also a sewer district question on the ballot among other issues, and turnout was between 18 and 20 percent.
The highest turnout was in Jefferson County where 25 percent of voters there showed up to, in part, reject a sales tax hike.
Lincoln and Franklin Counties only had the race for President on the ballot. There was a 15-percent turnout in Franklin County, and just 9 percent in Lincoln County. Officials there also blame slipperyroads for keeping voters away.
