St. Louis, MO – A long-time operative in Missouri's Democratic Party will run John Kerry's Presidential campaign in the state.
Roy Temple was Senator Jean Carnahan's chief of staff; he says Kerry will visit Missouri after Tuesday's New Hampshire primary.
Candidates had largely ignored the Missouri primary until St. Louisan Dick Gephardt left the race last week.
Of the seven states voting on February Third, Missouri has the largest haul of national convention delegates, with 74 at stake.
Temple has also been a consultant for the Missouri Democratic Party and a political adviser to Governor Bob Holden.
