St. Louis, MO – Negotiators for St. Louis public school teachers and the private company running the district reached agreement on a tentative contract Saturday.
The one-year agreement calls for no change in teachers' salaries, but allows the salary issue to be reopened if the district's financial situation improves.
Teachers in St. Louis' public schools are expected to vote next week on whether to approve the contract.
Neither union nor district officials would elaborate on specific details of the tentative agreement.
