St. Louis – For the last two years, workers building a new 9,000 foot runway at Lambert Airport in St. Louis have been moving enough dirt to fill Busch Stadium about once a month.
They've torn down more than 1,000 homes and other buildings in Bridgeton, and despite a major downturn in air travel and major cuts to the American Airlines flight schedule, work is moving full-steam-ahead.
