St. Charles, Mo. – A St. Charles County councilman could face a recall election.
Jeff Morrison of St. Peters is the target of a petition filed Friday with the county clerk's office. It claims Morrison is too
concerned with helping prominent municipal officials, developers and home builders, and not concerned enough with his constituents.
One concern was Morrison's opposition to a charter amendment allowing the county to take legal action against St. Peters for
allegedly abusing the state tax-increment financing law.
Morrison says he is adhering to his campaign promise to end the legal action against the county's own cities.
Petitioners hope to gather enough signatures to place the recall election on the April ballot.
