St. Louis, MO – Today (Aug. 14) is last day St. Louis city residents can apply to be on an assembly that will propose changes in city government's structure.
The Stakeholder Assembly is a follow-up to the city gaining home rule status in last year's election. That status means changing the make up of government needs just citywide - and not statewide - approval.
The group Advance St. Louis will pick Assembly members. It likens body to a constitutional convention that will ultimately put proposed government changes to the voters.
