Supporters of the Equal Rights Amendment have waited for more than two decades to get another attempt at ratification.
Illinois lawmakers blocked the ERA in the early 1980s. Many years have passed, but the ERA remains controversial. Illinois Public Radio's Sean Crawford prepared this report.
