St. Louis, MO – If Governor Bob Holden approves a $1.4 million appropriation for DePaul Health Center, its trauma center will remain open for another year while the hospital looks for permanent funding. The Missouri Hospital Association is helping with an immediate $500,000 grant to fund trauma care through October. Officials say the money is only a temporary fix. DePaul had planned to end trauma services next month if temporary funds were not found. It's one of six trauma centers in the area.
