Missouri Gets Federal Grant for Emergency Management

Washington, D.C. – Missouri is receiving more than $3
million for emergency management activities.

Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge says the money is a significant increase in a program that supports state and local
emergency management agencies.

The money is given to states based on population, risk and vulnerability assessments.

A federal official says the money gives Missouri and local communties the flexibility to address their most urgent needs.
