Concealed Weapons Bill Poised for Senate Debate

By AP/KWMU

Jefferson City, MO – The chairman of a Senate committee says a
bill allowing Missourians age 21 and over to seek permits to carry concealed weapons will be sent to the full Senate this week.

Lowry City Republican Delbert Scott says the measure will be voted out of committee tomorrow. Scott heads the Pensions and
General Law Committee, which heard testimony on the bill today.

It was passed overwhelmingly by the House last month, but its over-all fate in the Senate is unclear.

Several similar House-passed measures have died in the Senate in previous years.
