Jefferson City, MO – The reasons why women are seeking abortions in Missouri could be reported to the state, under a bill before a state Senate committee.
The legislation sponsored by St. Charles Republican Chuck Gross also would require doctors to provide more detailed medical
information on abortion procedures.
Supporters of the bill say it would provide important information for lawmakers and policy-makers. Opponents say the bill would be an invasion of a woman's privacy.
The Senate Aging and Families Committee did not vote on the bill.
