St. Louis, MO – As many as 750 St. Louis-based flight
attendants for American Airlines could soon be without work.
The Fort Worth, Texas-based airline is losing millions of dollars daily and is reducing its flight schedule to cut costs. As a result, the company says it will need fewer flight attendants.
St. Louis flight attendants have lowest seniority -- because they came to American from TWA in a 2001 merger.
Since the September 11 terrorist attacks, American has furloughed 2,400 flight attendants.
