St. Louis, MO – A Missouri Senate Committee charged with studying the possibility of regional control of Lambert Airport will recommend to lawmakers the airport's commission add members.
St. Louis City owns the airport and a majority of the commission's members live in the city. But the airport is in St. Louis county and supporters say other areas of the region need more say.
Senator Maida Coleman of St. Louis City says expansion is okay as long as the city keeps its majority.
If lawmakers try to put the recommendations into law there would currently be no consensus on exactly how to expand the Lambert Commission.
