When brothers George and Alfred Rawlings opened a sports equipment shop in downtown St. Louis in 18-87, baseball was in its infancy.
Since that time sports and the Rawlings Company have been a constant in the St. Louis area. The company took its next step yesterday when it announced its own sale.
Los Angeles-based K-2 will pay $84 million in stocks to buy Rawlings. But as KWMU's Tom Weber reports, Rawlings isn't going anywhere.
