St. Louis, MO – St. Louis County has set new fares for taxicabs based at Lambert Airport, but one drivers' group isn't happy about it.
Starting in February, drivers would charge $8.30 for the first three miles and then $0.20 for each additional tenth of a mile.
But an attorney for some drivers told the council he'd challenge the fares in court because he says drivers should be free to set their own rates. Officials say a standard rate would avoid confusion.
