Springfield, IL – A Chicago newspaper reports that at least four of Illinois Governor George Ryan's children have received immunity and testified before a federal grand jury investigating corruption under their father.
The Chicago Sun-Times says the four Ryan daughters have testified as investigators look into money they allegedly received for political work they performed.
Ryan has six children, ranging in age from 38 to 45. Neither the children nor their father has been charged with any wrongdoing.
A massive federal investigation has resulted in dozens of corruption charges against people who worked under Ryan and were personally close to him. It's unclear if the apparent grand jury appearances by the Ryan children are related to this same probe.
A Ryan spokesman refused to comment on the new revelations.
