Cahokia, Illinois – Democrat Rod Blagojevich made his first trip to the Metro East since being elected Governor of Illinois Tuesday. Blagojevich spoke to a crowd of more than 100 supporters at Parks Airport in Cahokia, telling them that southwestern Illinois will be included in his plan in Springfield when he assumes office next year.
Congressman Jerry Costello of Belleville introduced Blagojevich saying he was pleased to present the first democratic governor elected in 30 years.
