St. Charles, MO – A group of uranium workers and their families who are eligible for compensation for radiation-related illness or death will meet tonight in St. Charles.
About 2,000 workers, most of whom worked at the Mallinckrodt Chemical Company, processed uranium for nuclear weapons from World War Two until the sixties in St. Louis, Weldon Spring, and Hematite.
Those who got cancer or other radiation-related illnesses are supposed to get $150,000 from the government, but no one from the St. Louis area has received payment under the two-year-old law.

When: 6:30pm tonight
